I been considering starting commissions because it seems like I could make money (I like money) and I think it would be fun to do it again, but I was also thinking “damn. Why would anyone pay for a drawing” which I still don’t have an answer. Which is why It’s not a I DO COMMISIONS NOW ;) post. I don’t think I have enough followers to justify the effort lmao

also, I don’t even know how to approach alla this. Like I did it in 7th grade but that was just me drawing anime characters for random kids for five bucks. This is totally outta my typical vibe so not only does that make it weird, but I don’t even know what I would charge. I feel like I’m scamming ppl with anything more than 20 because I don’t think my art worth allat but that’s a separate conversation. Who knows I’ll probably open commissions sometime and do that but idk. Also I’m downloading bluesky that’s nice

I was chilling in bed and I was thinking about Newgrounds (I love this site a lot lol I think abt it frequently) and I been thinking about the artists of Newgrounds who formed their own communities and made friends and collectives with other like minded artists. Unlike the begging for friends post I made a while ago this is more of a "hey yk what, I'm just gonna do it myself" post.

So I hatched a BRILLIANT PLAN! I'm just gonna reach out to people I like on Newgrounds (ik duh right) and I'm gonna start doing collabs/MAYBE making online art friends who knows. There are a lotta people on here I think are cool asf so imma start doing shit rather than just waiting for it to happen. Again, this was the obvious solution I'm just dumb asf lol

anywas, that's pretty much all I wanted to say. I want to stop rotting in my bed and do sum for once and I hope it works out, and yk the art/animation industry is all about connections so I just need to connect tf outta this shit. On a side note, I'm gonna be making a full animation for the first time in a while and posting it on here, so if you like me look forward for that. ALSO, THANK YOU FOR 200 FOLLOWERS!! (202 now lol) I see sum of y'all consistently favoriting and checking out my art and it's genuinely crazy that I have people who genuinely enjoy the stupid drawings I make. Not like i'm sad or lonely or shit like that, coz i'm not lmao i'm covered friends-wise like trust me i am happy. BUUUUT

I wanna be friends with more people on newgrounds dawg, like i see someone draw a cool photo and they're around my age or sum and I rlly wanna just go up to them and say "hey me like art, u want draw ocs together :DD?" but like i have hella bad social anxiety and never actually end up doing it lmao

i see so many people forming connections on NG and friend requesting each other n shit and i wanna do that coz i wanna have other people that like the shit i like yk, not that my other friends don't coz they do but all of em except for like 2 just think of newgrounds as funny porn website and laugh in my face, that or they don't do art and dunno what it is lol

all of this is not to say i haven't met nice people, coz i definitely have 2 people come to mind that i've done shit with before collaborating or whatever and they're cool people, BUUUUT part of me still wants more, i feel accepted in NG and i accept all of it but i see different mini-communities of all these artists and creators and go "oh golly gee wish i could do that" but always feel like if they reached out or sum like that they'd end up as creepy and lose all chances of it happening

I'm sure it'll happen in time, I'm really just being a stinky poopy face and complaining but hey if you wanna listen to my complaints feel free

Yesterday was saint Patrick's day and I come from a really Irish and Scottish background (like you can't tell from my name lol) so my family is huge on saint Pat's. last week me and my family drove down to Georgia to meet my aunt and cousins to celebrate, during that time I flew a plane which was crazy but I also went down to this one college to watch my aunt preform traditional Irish music, with flutes and bagpipes and shit. I also went to her bar/brewing spot "River watch brewery" and she played a bit there too. I recently learned she's closing up the brewery, the nail in the coffin and the main reason she has to is because some rich guy came up and made another brewery (extremely) close to hers with a name that's basically hers if you switch the words around. it was her and her husband's dream and a staple of my mom's side of our family, so I hate seeing them being pushed out like this. Before I went to Georgia, I just thought of myself as an American. Same as everybody, but when I was down there I felt a strange sense of belonging if that makes sense by being close to family and people like me. I'll admit, I'm a fan. It does make me really sad though that the brewery is closing down. We'll all be fine though, That's just life lol.

Also I really enjoyed doing serious news posts so I might do more of these if I feel like it

i just got the entirety of breaking bad on dvd for free, what a day!

ok so in my last post i talked about how i was relying on flash cs5.5 and animate archive but because it went down i didn't have access to flash and that kinda stuff, but i reached out to my art teacher and he hooked me up with the newest version of adobe animate! admittedly it'll be a bit of a change because in order to use animate i have to use a different larger monitor, which is admittedly a bit weirder to draw on. and i'm really not that much of a fan of the newer versions of flash much preferring cs5.5-cs6 but honestly, i'm just glad i got it again. i will say tho in regards of adobe, they suck because they were shutting down one of the only successful attempts at archiving and preserving older software. so in that sense, fuck you adobe

due to circumstances recently via just copyright and stuff, animate archive the site where i get access to flash cs5.5 is down and i don't really have any good software to make the style i'm tryna make. so uh i'll be a bit before i post smth again (unhappy noises)
